Yuya had always harbored a secret desire to become a woman. One day, he chanced upon an older fortune-teller named Reika and bared his soul to her. Reika smirked. “I can grant that wish,” she replied. “But in exchange, you must swap bodies with me.” Without a moment’s hesitation, Yuya accepted.
In the next instant, Yuya was inside Reika.
Reflected in the mirror was a plump, middle-aged woman. Yet, Yuya felt no shock; he embraced his new self. He returned home with Reika and began experimenting with her vast collection of clothes and cosmetics. Reika had a hobby: cosplay. Yuya opened the closet to find a treasure trove of outfits—sailor uniforms, magical girl costumes, maid dresses—all of exquisite design.
He chose a school uniform and slipped into it. As the fabric clung tightly to his new curves, a surge of joy washed over him. He felt the softness and warmth of the plump body he now inhabited.
“It suits you, Yuya,” Reika’s voice came from behind. Reika was now in Yuya’s young, masculine body. “How does it feel?”
“It’s… strange,” Yuya answered tentatively. “I didn’t know a woman’s body was this soft.”
“Enjoy it,” Reika smiled. “Cosplay isn’t just about the clothes. It’s a means of discovering a new you.”
Following her lead, Yuya tried on everything—the magical girl frills, the maid aprons, and the tight uniforms. Each was like a magic spell transforming him. Meanwhile, Reika was experiencing her own thrill. She donned Yuya’s old male student uniform, relishing the mismatch of her identity and the stiff masculine fabric.
“This isn’t bad at all,” Reika murmured, admiring the reflection of Yuya’s handsome, young frame.
The two spent the night walking the streets, each intoxicated by their new visual identities. When they returned, they sat on the sofa, submerged in a decadent atmosphere of subverted gender roles. They helped each other undress and tried on even more outfits—Yuya in a maid’s dress, Reika in casual masculine attire. They shared a bed that night, exploring the tactile sensations of their swapped vessels, losing themselves in the novelty of their discovery.

Their “exchange game” soon surpassed mere wish-fulfillment and began to colonize every aspect of their lives. Every time Yuya sank his soul into Reika’s heavy, voluptuous flesh, he could forget the dry emptiness of his former life as a man. The diverse costumes in the closet were symbols of a “privilege” he had never been allowed.
“Reika-san, today… please, once more,” Yuya would murmur to the mirror. Then, Reika—inside Yuya’s body—would stroke the cheek of her own original body with Yuya’s young fingertips. The frequency of their swaps increased to five, then six times a week, until the boundary of who truly owned which life became a blur.
“Of course, Yuya,” Reika would say through Yuya’s lips. “Your body has become so familiar to me lately. The muscle tone, the high body temperature… I feel more like ‘me’ in here.”
Yuya failed to notice the “poison” beneath her words. He was too busy adjusting the ruffles of a maid’s apron on Reika’s fleshy frame, intoxicated by his own reflection. But change was manifesting. Whenever Yuya returned to his original body, he was struck by violent vertigo and nausea—as if his own flesh were suffering a rejection response against his soul.
“It’s just proof that your soul is being perfected as a ‘woman,'” Reika would smile coldly using Yuya’s face. Deep in her eyes, a predatory light flickered.
One night, Yuya found an old diary in the study. It was a record of Reika’s life before she became a “fortune-teller.” He read the entry with growing horror:
*『Month X, Day Y. The fifth vessel is at its limit. This body (Reika’s current one) is gaining fat, the metabolism is dropping, and the energy to sustain a soul is depleting. The soul craves a fresh vessel; the anatomy thirsts for young vitality. …Next, I must target a “man”—healthy, yet mentally fragile.』*
Yuya’s fingers shook. As he turned the pages, he saw a list of previous victims. Reika was not a mere fortune-teller. She was a “spiritual parasite” who stole youth and life through the fraud of “exchange,” using up vessels until they were hollow husks before jumping to the next.
