The Day a Corporate Assignment Commuted into a Somatic Exchange

“Hey, I require a minor expenditure of your physical output.”

Inside the classroom after hours, Maki directed her vocal matrix toward me. She was a contemporary with whom I routinely exchanged low-priority banter, yet her acoustic frequency today contained a distinct harmonic of structural distress.

“Physical output? Are we talking about relocating high-mass objects?”

“Affirmative. The volume of logistics from my shopping excursion exceeded my predictive calculations. My individual capacity is insufficient to transport the load.”

“Heh, a significant systemic failure. But by ‘assistance,’ do you imply that I am to execute the locomotive phase?”

“Exactly. Can I log your compliance?”

She flashed a slightly apologetic smile, adjusting her visual focus on me. While I harbored no absolute aversion to the task, my processor registered it as an inefficient drain on my energy reserves. Knowing—or perhaps completely oblivious to—this internal calculation, Maki narrowed her eyes, intensifying her persuasive output.

“Please. You are the only asset I can rely on for this operation.”

“Hmm…… data processed.”

Executing a single, stabilizing nod, an elegant optimization script materialized in my mind. If her ultimate objective was merely the application of force, it was mathematically unnecessary for me to directly transport the mass. I simply needed to commute our consciousnesses and compel her to operate my chassis. Affirmative—the only asset I needed to loan her was my physical “hardware.”

“Understood. Consider the operation initialized.”

“Wait, seriously? Exceptional!”

Witnessing her sudden emotional acceleration, I extended my hand toward a compact device concealed within my pocket matrix—a somatic commutation drive I had discovered by pure chance on an unindexed network network. I had not yet executed a live script on this hardware, but current parameters offered the optimal test window.

Before her sensory receptors could log the action, I manipulated the interface and depressed the trigger.

Instantly, the perimeter dissolved into a microsecond of absolute white luminescence, and my spatial orientation spun across a violent axis.

“……Huh?”

When visual data stabilized, standing directly before my viewpoint was my own historical biological form—now driven by Maki’s consciousness.

“What…… what is the meaning of this structural disruption?!”

A vocalization of intense panic discharged from my own mouth. I allowed a cold, dark smile to trace my new lips.

“Incredible, isn’t it? It is a specialized device designed to execute absolute identity displacement.”

“Are you insane?! Explain your operational logic!”

“You explicitly stated you required the utilization of force, correct? I have successfully leased you my high-capacity chassis. Now, proceed to execute your own logistics operation.”

“Wait a moment! This severely deviates from the agreed protocol!”

Maki frantically monitored her new extremities—specifically, her newly acquired masculine frame—but I had already initialized my departure sequence.

“Well, I intend to utilize this temporary hardware to run some recreational simulations in the urban sector. Manage the logistics efficiently!”

“Hey! Terminate your movement immediately!”

Leaving her acoustic distress signals to dissipate behind me, I leveraged Maki’s lightweight chassis to exit the classroom with rapid, fluid steps.

“Fascinating. A female biological vessel possesses remarkably low mass.”

Arriving at a parlor grid, I initiated a high-intensity consumption of slot-machine simulations using Maki’s hardware. I registered a minor deviation in the visual tracking vectors from the surrounding population, but it failed to impact my processing. Fortunately, the machinery hit an aggressive sequence of jackpot outputs, generating a massive volume of material prize tokens.

“The outcome is optimal. An absolute validation of the displacement mechanic.”

Conversely, Maki—systematically forcing my original high-capacity chassis to transport the cargo—encountered severe mechanical friction due to her unfamiliarity with masculine kinetic distribution.

“Damn it…… this hardware is far more unyielding and difficult to calibrate than I projected……”

Clutching the dense weight of the cargo, her forehead displayed significant thermal emission in the form of sweat.

“How did my reality cascade into this specific error state……?!”

At dusk, our trajectories re-converged at the designated coordinate, our visual sensors locking in a hostile tracking loop.

“Your consumption of recreational time was entirely excessive, wasn’t it?”

“An illogical critique. That is my own biological hardware, correct? I retain absolute rights to enjoy its output.”

“What?! The initial commutation was a unilateral execution by your agency anyway!”

Refusing to register any moral friction, I smiled coldly, displaying the massive volume of dark-market prize tokens I had extracted from the parlor.

“Observe. Absolute capital generated entirely through my optimization.”

“That data was harvested exclusively via my physical container!”

“Calm your respiration. There is no need to analyze minor metrics.”

“This is not a minor metric! Surrender the total inventory to me immediately!”

“Ugh. A highly inefficient distribution of wealth.”

Left with no alternative, I routed the assets into her custody. In response, Maki extracted a permanent oil-based marker and executed a significant act of structural defacement, etching the characters for “IDIOT” directly across the frontal cranium of my original body.

“Hey! Cease that unauthorized somatic modification!”

“Consider this a necessary retaliatory feedback loop from my system.”

“……Your counter-measures lack all mercy, don’t they?”

Ultimately, we initiated the reverse commutation script, returning to our respective biological masses before dissolving the perimeter under an intensely hostile atmosphere.

“During the next cycle, format your request with standard parameters.”

“Do not calculate a single hypothesis where a next cycle exists.”

Maki spat out the terminal data, rapidly accelerating her locomotion as she retreated into the distance, bringing the operational day to a resentful close.
